THE MOST IMPORTANT EVENTS IN TIROLO DURING THE YEAR
The quaint village of Tirolo, with its many green areas and lively squares, and nearby Castel Tirolo are the setting for the most interesting events in and around Tirolo at any time of year. The traditional events in Tirolo reflect the South Tyrolean way of life as well as local customs and traditions. Depending on your preferences, in Tirolo near Merano you can taste fine specialities and wines, buy unique handicraft products or simply have a good time with your fellow travellers.
The “Emotion und Klang” concert series, which takes place on Thursdays in June and July, is a musical foray through different countries, traditions and time periods. Top-class international ensembles are on the programme at these concerts in Tirolo. The return journey to the village is made by torchlight.
In July, the traditional Meadow Festival of Tirolo takes place on the festival grounds, not far from our aparthotel. At this village festival in Tirolo, live music, dancing, entertainment, and gastronomic specialties take centre stage. The event is organised by the local young farmers.
There's something to celebrate in Tirolo in summer and the rifle company show how it's done! Visitors of the summer festival of the Tirolo rifle company are also well entertained and catered for at the event which takes place in midsummer and is one of the most popular festivals in Tirolo.
The Tirolo Herbstfest heralds the golden, autumn season. In September, locals and guests are invited to the traditional pre-lunch drink at the festival grounds. From late morning onwards, hearty Tyrolean dishes can be enjoyed to good music, and a true festival atmosphere can be enjoyed.
The Schlosswegfestl in Tirolo is the local harvest festival; rightly, some also call it the Tirolo Wine Festival. At the end of October, this festival takes place on Schlossweg directly below our house. Music, cheerful atmosphere, and autumnal delicacies are provided.
This event in Tirolo is something truly special: music, food, traditional crafts and an attractive supporting programme for young and old await you at the Schlossadvent at Castel Tirolo, which can also include a carriage ride to the castle. Several dates at the end of November and beginning of December.
